P.N.C. & K.R. Degree College, names after Sri Paladugu Nagaiah Chowdary, a Philanthropist and Sri Kotha Raghuramaiah, an astute Parlamentarian was started at Narasaraopet in 1991 under the able patronage of Doctor coupleDr.Medarametla Sivalinga prasada Rao and Dr.M.Annapurna. The college is promoted by the Sri Venkateswara Paladugu Nagaiah Chowdary and Kotha Raghuramaiah Educational Society (Regd.) and with in a short span of decade have reached a level of educational standards comparable to any of the similar colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The PNC&KR Degree College has a modern well planned campus located about 2 K.M. from the Narasraopet Railway Station. The campus is spread over about 7 acres with imposing buildings in lush green, polution free environment away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The college buildings were inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr.N.T.Rama Rao on 29-05-1995.
Since the inception the PNC&KR Degree College is imparting the need based education to the students of backward region of Palnadu and neighbouring areas. The Secretary & Correspondent has nurtured the college with great care, determination and vision. With his dynamic stewardship the college management committee has become a wholesome entity espousing both academic excellence and administrative efficiency. The college has pioneered the introducation of may new Science and Hi-tech courses besides traditional B.A. and B.Com. courses which were not available in many other degree colleges, under the juridiction of Acharya Nagarjuna University.
In the age of fierce competition the PNC&KR Degree College has succeeded to maintain its lead and edge over others through its meticulous planning of curriculum at the micro level through a high level motivated core academic staff to impart the subject modules under the vigorous supervision of the college prinicipal Sri Gali Subba Rao. The PNC&KR Degree College Motto is "Vidya Para Devatha". It means Education is more than a Sacred Angel . To believe this motto, the college has committed that there is not gift worthier and nobler than Vidyadana.
